Form/Reimagined by David Lynch
Presented by InCadaqués Photo Festival, in benefit of the David Lynch Foundation
Casino Societat L'Amistat
Cadaqués, Spain

This exhibition presents a study of the human body in compositions that share a new meaning to the skin that clothes us. David Lynch reimagines shape, figure, and vessel as a conduit for light that follows the curved lines in the structures that form the home we reside in.

Distorted Nudes by David Lynch originates from “1000 Nudes” by Uwe Scheid, which became the basis for this series. Lynch scanned the photographs from Uwe’s book with a low resolution scanner and used them in his first experience with photoshop, resulting in these twelve black and white prints. The Polaroid from the Festival of Disruption Series is shot on limited edition duochrome film by Lynch in one of his iconic sets.

These images explore curved lines and energetic sequences. Lynch describes the importance of a curved line as the linear forms that go on forever; circular structures create infinite sequences. From the shape of the atom to the nucleus of a cell, curved lines form the body we live in. Looking at the body as a vessel of our being, physically temporary and energetically immortal, it is a conduit for energy as the light bulb and the lamp. Experience this exhibition through the energy of pure consciousness, which Lynch describes as the Unified Field.

We are like lightbulbs. If bliss starts growing inside you, it’s like a light; it affects the environment.
